About the position

A School Based Mental Health Counselor plays a vital role in supporting the social, emotional, and behavioral well-being of the students. Counselors provide induvial and group counseling, crisis intervention, and collaborate with the school staff, families, and community partners to create a safe and supporting learning environment.

Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social work, or a related field 
  • Valid state license as a professional counselor
  • Experience working with children and adolescents preferred 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
